Coaching
Coaching is cooperative developmental work. A concrete concern, problem, or learning challenge provides the starting point for this process. Good coaching enables you to develop your own “recipes” for solving your challenges.
In our coaching work together, we look at the issue and also “behind” it, identifying possible developmental barriers and developing strategies for dealing with them. In this way, coaching enables comprehensive personal growth by expanding your capacity to deal with complexity and broadening your range of possibilities.
The tools I use in coaching include, among others, the Leadership Circle Profile and the Immunity-to-Change approach.

Leadership Circle Profile
A comprehensive view of your leadership — with the Leadership Circle Profile.
The Leadership Circle Profile is a powerful, insightful, and holistic instrument for leadership development. It provides you with a comprehensive picture of your creative competencies, your reactive patterns, and your overall effectiveness as a leader. The tool is methodologically robust, based on a strong normative sample, and is used by senior leaders and organizations around the world.
What sets the Leadership Circle Profile apart from other 360° assessments is its foundation in theories of leadership development and adult development — an area for which I can personally vouch as a researcher in this field. It integrates not only creative, “positive” leadership competencies but also reactive tendencies, meaning the underlying motives and habitual ways of thinking that may limit your further development. Your profile enables you to make connections and uncover patterns that influence your leadership, often beyond your immediate awareness. For this reason, the Leadership Circle Profile is an exceptionally powerful starting point for your leadership development!

Immunity-to-Change Approach
Focused work on what holds us back — with the Immunity-to-Change approach.
Development sometimes feels easy, but often it feels stuck or sluggish — as if one foot is on the accelerator while the other is on the brake. Our immunity to change is often something that may have helped us in the past but now holds us back.
In coaching, we jointly create a “map” of the inner immune system that shows what we want to change and which core assumptions are preventing that change. Working with these underlying assumptions is the core of the coaching process: taking a close look together, testing them, learning something new, and thereby “updating” the inner immune system.
The Immunity-to-Change approach was developed by Harvard psychologists Robert Kegan and Lisa Lahey based on a robust scientific theory of adult development. It is one of the most powerful methods for supporting personal growth.
